Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Thank you all very much indeed for your prayers for Bishop Don's visit. It went wonderfully well: he arrived in time to speak to about 150 at the Gathering at St. George's last Friday night; then he spoke to about 23 clergy - including the Diocesan Archdeacon, Pat Johnston, at the St. Alban's breakfast on Saturday morning; to about 50, mostly lay people, at the St. Matthew's lunch on Saturday; and to the congregation at St. Paul's, Kanata, on Sunday. Then he got back to Newfoundland safely, in spite of the ferocious snowstorm in the Maritimes. Now we must be sure to give joyful thanks to our kind Lord for answering our prayers so wonderfully.
